BAA provides full service support for VOC and SVOC field investigations
BAA has
focused on indoor air quality issues since its inception and provides
analytical services to IAQ professionals for the identification and measurement
of VOCs and specific SVOCs. Our IAQ clients consist of: industrial
hygienists; consulting engineering organizations; environmental health and
safety departments of businesses, schools and health organizations; and
governmental agencies.
BAA can
assist you with your building investigations.
Our experienced staff can advise on cost-effective study design and
appropriate methodologies. We supply
conditioned multi-sorbent tubes for the broad spectrum sampling of VOCs. Aldehyde sampling cartridges, PUF samplers for SVOCs, and sampling
equipment also are available. A range of
analytical services are offered to address specific needs.
Options for VOC analysis include: target analysis of
predetermined VOC lists; qualitative evaluation by a trained analyst to
identify the full range of VOCs present in an air sample; quantification of
specific lists of toxicants and/or abundant compounds found in samples;
quantitative analysis of the sum of individual VOCs; or a custom program that
addresses a specific need. These
analyses may be applied progressively, e.g., the study may begin with a
qualitative analysis of selected samples and end with quantitative analysis of
compounds of concern at all study locations.
This phased approach can achieve substantial savings for you and your
clients.
For SVOCs we offer the analysis of air samples collected on PUF samplers for phthalate esters and for a list of 16 PAH defined in U.S. EPA Method 8100. We also analyze wipe samples collected from surfaces for phthalates and these same PAH.
Analytical
reports are thorough with results clearly presented. Our intent is to provide quality services and reporting that allow you, the
indoor air quality professional, to make recommendations and take action with
confidence.
Conditioned
VOC samplers and other supplies are shipped by airfreight to your office or field
location. Documents
are available to provide guidance on the collection of VOC, aldehyde and SVOC samples and
the operation of pumps.
Samples are documented by a Chain-of-Custody form . The COC form identifies the customer and the
job, provides information regarding the sampler and sampling data, indicates the
types of analyses required and constitutes a record of the individuals
responsible for the samples from their collection through their receipt and
handling by the laboratory.
